About me

Hi! My name is Lara Sitruk and I'm a visual artist from the Netherlands living in Portugal.

After working with documentary film creators for many years, supporting their storytelling process and finding inspiration in their passion, I found a way to tell my own story through my art.

I believe art should be playful. I love to try out new techniques, ideas, materials and to experiment with combinations.

Playing, creating and letting my imagination run wild help me see more beauty, kindness and silver linings in the world around me.

What started as a small dream and love for tiny t-shirt embroideries of animals, grew into a full-time dedication.

It never gets old to see a sketch turn into a painting or drawing, which ends up somewhere in a cosy living room. Or as someone's favorite wearable art, since I like to get my work printed on organic, colorful t-shirts.
